FOUR ROSES SINGLE BARREL BARREL STRENGTH
All you have to do is take one sip and you’ll discover something that may both surprise and delight you – Four Roses is unlike any other Bourbon. Perhaps it’s because only Four Roses handcrafts 10 distinct and extraordinary Bourbon recipes. One has been selected by hand to become Four Roses Single Barrel. Four are expertly mingled by hand to create Four Roses Small Batch. Six have been hand-selected and mingled to create the perfectly-balanced, non-chill filtered Small Batch Select. And as many as all 10 are used to create Four Roses Bourbon. Handcrafted artistry such as this may take a little more time, but after your first taste, we’re sure you’ll agree, it’s worth the effort.Visit Website
1792 FULL PROOF
Bourbon insiders have long acknowledged that full proof bourbon has a distinguished and rich flavor. This bourbon underwent a distinct filtering process, forgoing the typical chill filtration and passing only through a plate and frame filter. This allowed the bourbon to maintain a robust proof for bottling, as well as a full, rich and bold flavor. Bottled at its original 125 barrel entry proof, just as it was years ago when the barrels were first filled, 1792 Full Proof Bourbon is exceptionally distinct.Visit Website
BLANTON’S SINGLE BARREL
While law does not require bourbon to be made in Kentucky, the Bluegrass state produces approximately 95% of the world’s supply. There are several primary reasons Kentucky remains the bourbon capital of the world today. Kentucky was America’s original west. When early settlers moved West in search of more land and resources many settled in what is now the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These settlers of Scottish, German and Irish descent brought with them their stills and distilling knowledge. They quickly discovered that Kentucky was the ideal place to make great whiskey.
One reason is the vast deposits of limestone rock that filters unwanted minerals out of the water used in the distilling process. A second is the soil and climate are perfect for growing corn; bourbon’s primary ingredient and source of its distinctive sweet flavor profile. Another factor is the often wild swings in temperature from season to season, and sometimes even day to day. Since bourbon is aged in charred oak barrels, the changes in temperature cause the wood to repeatedly absorb and release the whiskey, giving the finished product its characteristic oak notes and amber color. We are extremely proud of our Kentucky heritage. Blanton’s, the Original Single Barrel Bourbon, has always been and will always be made in Kentucky, the bourbon capital of the world.
For over 200 years, our Distillery has been defined by a dedication to one craft: making fine bourbon whiskey. By honoring tradition and embracing change, Buffalo Trace Distillery has earned its place of leadership among the legendary spirits makers of the world.Visit Website
ELIJAH CRAIG SMALL BATCH
Today, Heaven Hill Distillery preserves the Bourbon making traditions developed by Elijah Craig. Each bottle of our Bourbon is crafted with the same method used by Elijah over two hundred years ago: local corn and grains are milled and mixed with limestone-rich Kentucky spring water, then fermented and distilled. After years of aging in charred oak, our Master Distillers select the most complex barrels to become Elijah Craig Small Batch, Barrel Proof, and Single Barrel Bourbons. Our rich history and craftsmanship can be savored in every sip.Visit Website
OLD PEPPER DISTILLERY SINGLE BARREL RYE
The Pepper family brand of whiskey is an iconic Kentucky whiskey brand initially produced during the American Revolution and continued through 1958. The family built and operated two main distilleries: first founding the site that today hosts the Woodford Reserve Distillery, and later the James E. Pepper Distillery in Lexington. In the late 1950s the bourbon industry hit hard times, and both the brand and distillery in Lexington were abandoned for over half a century.
In 2008 the brand was relaunched by whiskey entrepreneur Amir Peay. A decade-long campaign of thorough historical research and collection of historic materials was used to retell the lost story of this iconic American whiskey brand and to distill new stocks of “Pepper” whiskey (visit the History Page to learn more). To initiate the relaunch of the brand, partnerships with existing distilleries were formed. Today the whiskey sold under the 1776 line of whiskeys was distilled years ago in collaboration with the historic Lawrenceburg Distillery in Indiana.
After a multi-year construction effort, the historic James E. Pepper Distillery—which after fifty years of neglect had fallen into a terrible state of disrepair—has been completely rebuilt and restored. In December 2017, the distillery once again began distilling whiskey.
OLD CARTER STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
“Old Carter Whiskey Co. is focused on creating totally unique, very small-batch, straight rye and bourbon whiskies. We create our spirits from the heart, each one a single expression of what we love.”
– Mark & Sherri Carter
Old Carter Whiskey Co is the passion project by husband and wife team Mark & Sherri Carter. They began their beverage endeavors in the wine business. They produce fine wines in Napa Valley with their Carter Cellars Cabernets garnering nine perfect 100 point scores by critics. The whiskey business found them several years ago when they partnered with a Kentucky friend to resurrect a long dormant bourbon brand. That brand sold in 2017, but by then the Carters were hooked on the process of making and blending whiskies, as well as the state of Kentucky and so they started Old Carter Whiskey Co to carry on their love affair with whiskey making. They now produce Straight Ryes, Bourbons and an American Whiskey in various locations throughout Kentucky with showrooms in both Lexington and Louisville. Mark and Sherri handle all aspects of the business themselves from creating new blends and selecting single barrels, to designing and handwriting each individual label per bottling. It is a very hands-on approach and has allowed them to continue to create together. It is a true labor of love at Old Carter. Being able to share their passion with whiskey lovers everywhere completes the picture for the Carters.
OLD FORESTER SINGLE BARREL BARREL STRENGTH
Our founder, George Garvin Brown, was born September 2, 1846 in Munfordville, KY. In 1863 he moved to Louisville to attend high school, and eventually became a pharmaceutical salesman. And it was that particular line of work that led him to create the First Bottled Bourbon™, Old Forester, in 1870. Now in its 150th year, Old Forester is evolving its highly successful Single Barrel program in 2020 to offer a barrel strength option which will be included in the Railbird 2020 Selects.Visit Website
PINHOOK BOURBON TRUE SINGLE BARREL BARREL STRENGTH
Each year, Pinhook releases a new vintage of bourbons and ryes. Every expression is the best representation of our barrels at that moment in time, and dedicated to a promising young thoroughbred. Through a combination of careful barrel selection, blending in small batches, and meticulous proofing, each Pinhook vintage has a personality as unique as the horse on the label.
Breaking with the standard approach to American whiskey, where barrels are blended to replicate an established flavor profile at a fixed proof every time, Pinhook sees each set of barrels as a new crop, shaped by the natural variations in the ingredients and the elements. Working in small batches, we craft each vintage to express the best whiskey rather than the same whiskey, and set the proof to optimize the attributes of that year’s crop.
