1When and where does Railbird take place?
Railbird takes place August 10th & 11th 2019 at Keeneland in Lexington KY (4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510)
2Is this event family-friendly?

Yes! We are certainly family-friendly! Patrons of all ages are welcome to Railbird. Children 10 years old and younger will gain free admission, limiting two children per adult. Railbird will provide kid-friendly activities, making it the ultimate weekend for the whole family.

3What can I bring?

To make sure you have everything you’ll need while attending the festival, please feel free to bring the following items with you:

  • Sun block
  • Blankets, sheets, and towels
  • Point-and-shoot cameras
  • All bags must fall under 14″x11″x 5" – Backpacks may have 2 pockets (One large, one small) and hydration packs may have two pockets (not including the hydration bladder)
  • Small hydration packs are allowed but must be emptied and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holder for the bladder
  • (1) Empty water bottle (free, filtered water will be provided via Hydration Stations)
  • (1) sealed bottle of water
  • Selfie sticks are allowed, but must expand to no longer than 40″ in length and must be made of light material (light metal, rubber, plastic). All selfie sticks are subject to Railbird staff discretion and may or may not be allowed

REMEMBER: All patrons and belongings are subject to search and prohibited items will be removed at the discretion of the front gate and security staff

4What should I leave at home?

We make every effort to provide an environment where all travelers can fully enjoy their time at Railbird. With that in mind, kindly leave these items at home:

  • Weapons
  • Large backpacks, purses, or any bag over 14″ x 11″ x 5″ in size and has more than one pocket or opening will not be allowed
  • Food and drink
  • Alcohol
  • Illegal substances of any kind
  • Umbrellas
  • Coolers
  • Picnic baskets/coolers
  • Lawn/camping chairs with metal pieces and/or plastic structures. (This is for the safety of our patrons. ADA seating will be available. Upon arrival, ADA patrons can request accommodations at the Info Booth on site) Click here to see an acceptable seat.

  • Glow sticks
  • Stickers
  • Inappropriate headdresses
  • Silly string
  • Confetti

  • Pets (Service dogs will be permitted)

  • Recording devices of any kind including professional recording equipment, GoPros, audio recording equipment, and video recording equipment
  • No unauthorized vendors will be permitted
  • No solicitations, handbills, sampling, give-aways, etc.

REMEMBER: All travelers and their belongings are subject to search and prohibited items will be removed at the discretion of the front gate staff. These items are subject to change at anytime and at the discretion of the front gate and security staff.

7How does parking work for Railbird 2019?
The cutoff period for advanced parking has passed. If you are purchasing parking on site ($20/day), you will enter through Gate 1. If you purchased advanced parking, you will enter through Gate 4. Place your parking pass hangtag on your rearview mirror prior to arrival. Those with an ADA hangtag, may access ADA parking spaces through Gate 2. See gate locations here. Parking will open at 10 AM.
8What times do the gates open each day?
Gates will open at 12 PM ET on both Saturday and Sunday.
9Do I need to register my wristband?
Wristband registration is required for all weekend passes and daily VIP tickets. While registering, you'll have the option to sign up for Railbird Cashless, allowing you easy and convenient cashless payments all weekend long. Register your wristband here.

1Where are my tickets?
Can’t find your tickets? Don’t worry! Tickets will be delivered by Frontgate one month before the event date. Once you have placed an order through Front Gate Tickets, visit https://railbird.frontgatetickets.com/ and click “sign in” at the top of the page. Once signed in, you can check your order and adjust account information, such as the delivery method.
2Questions about an order already placed?
If you’ve already purchased tickets and need to change your shipping address, want to know the status of your order, look up your order history, or have a general question about your order, please contact our official ticket provider Front Gate Tickets or call 888-512-SHOW (7469).
3What is the difference between the different General Admission price levels?
There is no difference between the general admission price levels. It’s simply an incentive to purchase sooner rather than later. The earlier you buy, the more you save!
4What does VIP include?

All the access of General Admission plus…

  • Air-conditioned lounge with private bar at the Limestone Stage
  • Access to Grandstand padded seating with elevated viewing at Limestone Stage
  • VIP viewing areas at the Limestone & Elkhorn stages

6Is it okay to buy from a third-party?

Only wristbands purchased through the Railbird ticket website (Front Gate Tickets) are guaranteed to be authentic. If you want 100% confidence in your ticket purchase, you should only purchase your tickets through the link on our tickets page.


Please be aware:
  • We are not responsible for any counterfeit weekend passes.
  • For your own protection, please do not purchase weekend passes from any source other than railbirdfest.com or your most trusted friends and family.
  • Removing a wristband automatically voids it (unless by accident or for safety reasons, in which case you need to get a replacement wristband from a customer service booth at the festival – this will require you to prove your purchase information). Festival Security will check every wristband to assure it has not been removed or passed between multiple people.
7When will my wristbands be shipped?
Wristbands will ship 2-4 weeks prior to the festival. If you have not received your wristband(s) 72 hours prior to the start of the festival, please contact our ticket provider, Front Gate Tickets or call 888-512-SHOW (7469).
8Do you allow for re-entry?
Yes, we will allow re-entry.

THE VENUE

Located in the Horse Capital of the World, Keeneland is an internationally renowned racecourse, a National Historic Landmark, and a beautiful gathering place for the local community. Founded in 1936, Keeneland’s gorgeous park-like grounds are open to visitors year-round.
